Action > DoPlot

Create plot files from RM plot definitions.

SettingDescription
Action will be skipped (Option) The action will be skipped in the calculation process if the option is selected.
Plot-Container > Plot Profile Select a plot container and a plot profile from the list of existing definitions with using the drop down arrow.

Plot profiles are REQUIRED as defined in :: Results .: Graphical Result Presentation.

Variable settings for plotting (Input 2 and 3) Variables are used to display different results with the same plot profile. When the plot container is defined, variables are set up and given a default value. New values are passed to the variables here. Drop down arrows may be used in the individual input fields to select variable names and set new values overruling the default values. Total number of characters CAN BE 48
SettingDescription
{from to step} A series of numbers can be assigned to a variable in order to address a series of calculated load cases and generate a series of plot files within one single plot action.

It e.g. can be used for plotting the eigenfrequencies of the automatically generated load case series within the action “Eigen” (e.g. eigen#1, eigen#2, eigen#3 etc.).

Example:

A plot has been prepared for plotting the displacements using the variable <LC> for the result load case name to be taken. The following input can be used for plotting the results of the load case series eigen#1 to eigen#4:

  • (Variable1): LC=eigen#<num>
  • (Variable2): num={1 4}
Note: Also adapt the output file name of the plots (Output-1) accordingly, e.g.: (Output1): <LC>.pl
