Variable settings for plotting (Input 2 and 3)

Variables are used to display different results with the same plot profile. When the plot container is defined, variables are set up and given a default value. New values are passed to the variables here. Drop down arrows may be used in the individual input fields to select variable names and set new values overruling the default values. A series of numbers can be assigned to a variable in order to address a series of calculated load cases and generate a series of plot files within one single plot action. It e.g. can be used for plotting the eigenfrequencies of the automatically generated load case series within the action Eigen (e.g. eigen#1, eigen#2, eigen#3 etc.).

Example:
A plot has been prepared for plotting the displacements using the variable <LC> for the result load case name to be taken. The following input can be used for plotting the results of the load case series eigen#1 to eigen#4:
- (Variable1): LC=eigen#<num>
- (Variable2): num={1 4}
Note: Also adapt the output file name of the plots (Output-1) accordingly, e.g.: (Output1): <LC>.pl
